So a few days after seeing an excellent Roger Waters i’m now at The Sydney Entertainment Center to see Eric Clapton. It’s the same show I saw back in the UK last May, hopefully just as good.
No Robert Cray for support over here, instead Mia Dyson who I’ve heard good things about, so on with the show.
Oh, I’ve been joined by a mossie. The little bastard can think again if it thinks it’s getting dinner!
Yesterday was Australia Day here in… Australia! This is my third in Sydney, based on that they should really just give me residency.
Most of the day was spent messing around the harbour and Circular Quay watching the various events from ferry races to military fly pasts and live music near The Rocks. In the evening it was down to Darling Harbour to catch the fireworks and celebrate what it is to be Australian. Somewhat ironic given most the crowd were backpackers. Still it was a good evening and a good display as normal. Special mention to the random woman who pulled my backpack when I stood in front of her. That she was sat down! on a bench she could stand on seemed to escape her. Still it gave us comedy material to pass the boring bits of the evening
So i’m currently sat in the acer arena in sydney waiting to watch Roger Waters live. The second act is all of dark side of the moon! should be a good show. There’s no support, instead it’s a neil young cd!
geek thought: if i can post this from the gig, with higher speed mobile net access i should really be able to stream at least audio and pictures too!
