A few weeks ago I went to Canada for a short trip, and over the next few days i’ll show a sample from the Canada Gallery on the front page. So where better to start than on the flight over.

I’ve never been too sure if you can take photos from planes – turns out it’s ok so as Flight AC858 from Heathrow to Toronto started to fly over the edge of Canada out came the camera.

The reason… The frozen landscape stretching for miles first spotted when the sea seemed to stop moving and weird patterns were appearing. As the plane got closer it became obvious the water had frozen and the ‘strange patterns’ were where snow had drifted against ridges on the ice. Fantastic views

The photo shown here is a little later into the flight when the first real landmass started to appear – amazing views from the plane but really wanted to be down on the ground for some crazy reason!
