…in a few wordpress posts!
Following on from the photo map which plots the locations of photos comes a new addition to gonewalkabout – the Post Map.
Thanks to a new plugin from cyberhobo.net called Geo Mashup posts can be given location information which can then be plotted on a map. A wonderful thing for those who post from various locations, or have a travelog (travelogue?!?).
I have to say a huge thankyou to Dylan at cyberhobo.net for fixing a problem I had with the plugin when using firefox. It was actually a very straight forward fix, but managed to have me confused for the best part of a week – but did learn a huge amount about wordpress and the plugin from it so its all good!
Last night ended up being fairly cold and so produced a nice frost this morning, so i’ve taken a few photos of the tree outside with its frost and cobweb covered branches.
I’ve converted a couple of them to B&W, there’s something about frost and Black and white that go together but the original colour versions are avaliable too.
Been a cold few days, the start of the predicted ‘Bitter Winter’ maybe?. Just need some snow!
It did mean there was a nice sunset tonight – photos in the gallery!
There’s been a huge amount of development done on the gallery photo map module one of the results being the ability to add routes to the map.
As a result of this i’ve altered the gallery slightly to break the photos down into more areas so that a route map of my 2003-2004 australia trip could be added. It can be found on the Photo Map page.
More details on the map module can be found project page and it’s a module well worth having if you’re using gallery2.
